Reading the codes is the start, not the answer. We narrow it down until the cause is clear — not just until the message is gone.
A warning light in the cockpit says only one thing at first: a control unit has measured a value outside the expected range. It does not say which component is faulty. The stored fault code is therefore a clue, not a diagnosis — and replacing parts on the strength of it alone often means replacing the wrong one.
We read the fault memory of every control unit, look at the live measured values and work out whether the sensor, the wiring to it, or the reported component itself is the problem. Only once that is established do we repair.
It is also worth a look without a warning light: rough running, hesitation under acceleration, higher fuel consumption than before, a noise that was not there previously. You notice such changes first as the driver — describe them to us, it shortens the search considerably.
